Job Responsibilities |
• To be associated with the Healthcare Document Specialist team
• To edit and proofreading medical transcription transcripts, involving listening and reading to the corresponding medical dictation with various dictation styles, accents, and dialects.
• Recognize, interpret, and evaluate inconsistencies, discrepancies and inaccuracies in medical dictation; appropriately edit and revise and clarify them transcripts without altering the meaning of the dictation or changing the dictator's style.
• Responsible for making changes to grammar, punctuation, format, ensuring consistency, and clarity of meaning, adhering to the AAMT book of Style, or client preference as required.
• To be updated on each account details specifications and remain updated on any communication regarding client feedback, updates and changes etc.
• Should work on implementation of new accounts be flexible to work on any account, per operations requirement
• Checking medical terminology, anatomy, and medical reference usage.
• Should verify patient demographics for accuracy and completeness as per standards listed in the client information.
• Use electronic references and other resources for research appropriately and efficiently to facilitate 100% accuracy, clarity, and completeness of reports.
• Adhere to rules governing patient confidentiality at all times: Understand and comply with policies and procedures related to medico-legal matters, including confidentiality of medical records, amendments of medical records, release of information, the patients' rights and hospital and employee liability.
• Mentor HDAs at vendor sites: Provide online support to HDAs regarding doubts/queries raised and solve problems associated with accurate transcription and formatting. Travel to vendor sites to address quality issues as and when required and to support the Director, Vendor Relations, and Quality Assurance for the same. Develop methods in order to improve the productivity and accuracy of the HDAs.
• Organize and prioritize assigned work and schedule time to accommodate work demands, turnaround time requirements, and commitments.
• Demonstrate an understanding of policies, procedures, and priorities, seeking clarification as needed.
• Expand job-related knowledge and skills to improve performance and adjust to change. Participate in continuing education activities. Document new and revised terminology, definitions, styles, and practices for reference, and application. Update the Production Centers with the above-collected databases on a periodic basis and also share knowledge with colleagues.
• Use and resolving resolve problems. Participate in a positive and cooperative manner during staff meetings. Handle difficult and sensitive situations tactfully.

• Need to process 180 minutes of dictation with an accuracy of 99% meet set targets with an accuracy of 99.5.
• FTR should be 90% |
