Job Description

Fleet Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the management and coordination of all maintenance and repair functions on all company fleets of mobile equipment including trucks, cars, motorbike, chainsaws, forklifts etc.

More specifically the Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the vehicle maintenance workshop. Basic function of the role includes :-

• Developing an effective maintenance schedule that will be used by the vehicle maintenance team.
• Establish an effective preventative maintenance (PM) schedule for all mobile equipment.
• Identify and procure critical spare parts and ensuring that the workshop have readily accessible spare parts and maintenance manual for each and every machines that the company operates.
• Ensure the maintenance workshop has qualified staff required to carry out maintenance as prescribed on the maintenance schedule.
• Effective supervision of repairs to company machinery including scheduling of repairs, satisfactory standards of workmanship and a well planned expeditious approach to repair jobs.
• Establishing an effective on-the-job training for National Employees.
• Conducting performance review on employees in his direct supervision.

Experience

• The candidate must have some years experience in a similar position.
• The candidate must have a good knowledge of skilled and semi-skilled employees
• The candidate must possess a good knowledge and hands-on experience on the following:-
  • Hydraulic Technology
  • Auto Electrical
  • Good knowledge of Toyota is desirable
  • Caterpillar (genset engine, excavator)

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• Effective Management and coordination skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Effective supervision skills.
• Ability to carry out effective trouble-shooting on problems systematically.

Other Requirements

We expect you to be a team player, to have a high level of ethic and to be accountable for your results. Be able to work on Saturdays should the need arises. You should have a valid drivers license.
